Will the wet weather ever end? Of course not, it's off road season...
But first, parkrun..
We had a good turnout at Llanishen Park with 10 & had 4 more at Cardiff parkrun this morning with the usual variety of local ones and some new events further afield.
Lucy went to a soggy Bryn Bach; Chris, Ian & Hannah went to Tremorfa and Rob L went to Porthcawl.
Dan went to Chipping Sodbury, Tom went to Chippenham Playing Fields, Monmouth and Joey went to Bevendean Down in Brighton.
Aislin and Jack were in Weymouth, Helen was at Jesmond Dene but Morwenna had the best weather again in Kawana
We had four separate races on Sunday that members were at.
Nine ran the CRE 10 miler with JC the sole member in the 20 miler. Starting in Pontcanna Fields and going up to Hailey Park, there were a lot of puddles to contend with and a fair few other runners also enjoying the Taff Trail.
Our Sunday morning run gang were out in support and got to cheer them along the way & get some ropey photos!
Delyth ran the undulating Hereford 10 miler and came away with first V35 female and a nice trophy.
Aislin & Jack ran the Dalwood 3 Hills race in East Devon, covering 9.5 miles of cross country (and flooding).
In the afternoon, Chris M went up to near Cwmdu to race at the Pen Tir Drop Fell race. Another consistent performance, this time on a 4 mile race with over 1000ft of elevation!
And there's more!
Brecon was the host of the 119th Welsh Cross Country Championships on Saturday. With conditions slightly more favourable than the previous week in Margam Park, it was an opportunity to get some speed in on the firmer sections before sliding in the boggy parts with a flooded corner to contend with afterwards.
Armanda & Susannah represented the women whilst Ron ran with the Male Masters who take part in the same race.
Harry, Andy and Matt - in a pleasingly consecutive race number photo - ran in the senior male race, pleased for once to not be the last contenders on a course ( some junior races followed).
